I was unable to cope with much cleaning and tidying whilst taking care of the household, my invalid mother and working part time more than a decade ago.. At the same time I hd to close and pack up my business. In the matter of a year I hd to move the storage of the stocks three times! I hd to deal with the packing mostly on my own. In the end everything was moved back home and ended up being stored in boxes everywhere around the house. I ended up hoarding and hd to move out of my own bedroom because everything was stuffed inside. It's been 8 years since my mother passed away and I am now slowly getting out of my hoarding phased. This came about when I hd to deal with my Uncle's stuff after he passed away in another country during the covid lockdown. It made me realise how difficult it is for people to have to deal with my stuff after I am gone. However I have recently found out that I may have ADHD which meant I hd difficulty staying focused on tidying and cleaning tasks. In the meantime my elderly father and brother hd become frustrated with my hoarding that they cleared out a lot of my stuff without my knowledge. Especially since many of my stuff were destroyed by termites. I wasn't too happy about it but have learnt to deal with it since it was a case of out of sight, out of mind. I had also forgotten what I hd in all the boxes. I still hv a lot of stuff in boxes still to deal with at home. Watching all the vids you and Mack put up have helped me resolved some of my hoarding issues and start cleaning and clearing a little each day. I am currently going through my Mum's stuff in the kitchen and pantry. I hope to live with less clutter in the future.

Bonnie, where I grew up we called those bugs “Charlie bugs.” My husband grew up about 25 minutes from where I did, and they called them “baseball bugs.” Many thanks to you and Jonas and your friends for all your hard work. Mira certainly deserves it! ❤❤❤

The spider kind of looks like a brown recluse . VERY poisonous & deadly. My brother almost lost his leg as the spider bite ate through to his bone! He was on his property at the edge of the swamp in Deep South of Louisiana where those spiders are found.

Don't count on everything being online as streaming services can lose licences/contracts and they also take things off whenever they feel like to make room for other films and programs. As time goes on a lot of stuff on sites like UA-cam will be requested to be taken off due to copyright infringement. The main thing is to keep the physical media of your favourites and watch the rest online.

Nah, girl, the first rule is always BIG TRASHES. THEN its top-down. You're doing it exactly right. ETA: Bleach for the lino- but leave it for a good 10 or 15 minutes first.

The bugs are wood lice, they like to eat paper and wood.

I am late here but in case you look back, you are doing the people you help in person-and us who are helped by watching what you do-a favor by reimbursing yourself for your expenses because it makes doing this more doable. It is a great kindness that you are donating your time, expertise, and energy, but you should not hesitate to cover your expenses. Frankly I would watch if you did charge for what you do! I just love that you are so kind and giving people back the chance to have a functioning home again!

An air compressor works great for blowing out filters for all kinds of vacuums. Of course doing it outside is best.

On the subject of self cleaning ovens. Years ago I cleaned vacation condos and used the self cleaning mode on those ovens with no problems. And I never thought of there being an issue. I currently rent a condo and have a new oven and after reading about it I found out there is a special coating on self cleaning ovens and if it is cleaned with store bought oven cleaner it will break down the coating called a pyrolytic coating and may void the warranty on some stoves. Also, there are horror stories about people using the self cleaning method and starting a fire or over heating the flooring etc. so I have an oven liner and I wipe my oven out frequently. Better safe than sorry. That’s a peek into my paranoia on some things. I use a little baking soda or Bar Keepers Friend. It does a great job on glass on the door. Thanks Bonnie!😊

Dad had woodshop n same shop vac. Also a similiar one. He would always say that it takes another vac to clean a vac lol yes vacuum filter. That chest is gorgeous.

They like damp/wet wood. Here in Newfoundland we call them wood lice or carpenters.

We use a bag vacuum to clean the filters and then when the bag is full after so many cleans we throw it away and buy more bags on eBay because bags are hard to find these days. Eventually they won’t work for us and we will have to go through a canister vac but for now it works

That looks so much nicer! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard! Mira should hire a lawn guy to come and keep it mowed and edged regularly. It's a lovely backyard for the dogs to play in and for Mira to walk in or sit and enjoy the sound of birds or throw balls for her doggies. I cheered when Jonas used the shop vac as a blower. Good thinking. I looked up spiders and read lots of interesting facts about them, in fact I even looked up "spiders of Utah", hahaha. They are so good at keeping annoying insects down, things like midges, flies and mosquitoes. They have a right to live in that yard too!!! Put the brick down, Jonas! They are cool little creatures.

The pantry is still disorganized, all the same items go together and save space by not using racks, they just use up space. Tupperware containers stack up and lids go all together saving space. Never store containers with lids on, they smell when opened. Great job with utensils
